How To Speed Up HP TouchPad (No Overclocking)

Speed Up Thumbnail

There are two ways to speed up the HP TouchPad. You can speed it up by installing a couple patches from preware, this post will show you how to do this or you can speed it up by overclocking the processor and you can view that tutorial by clicking here. I do recommend doing this because it is much better and you will enjoy your HP TouchPad more.

************ Disclaimer **************
You are doing this at your own risk and I am not responsible for anything that happens to your Device.

Steps:

1. First of all you will need to have preware installed on your device. To learn how to install preware on your device, click here. After preware is installed, everything else is a piece of cake.

2. On your device open up preware, search and install the patches listed below. These can be found under Available Packages >> Patch >> All.

• Muffle System Logging – The HP Touchpad, stock, logs pretty much everything. It logs so much information that it actually slows down your touchpad. This helps stop that and increases performance!

• Remove Dropped Packet Logging – Check Preware for explanation.

• Unset Cfq IO Scheduler – I don’t know the specifics behind it, but it definately helps.

• Unthrottle Download Manager – HP download manager throttles download speeds. This removes it and it increases your download speed!

• Faster Card Animations Hyper Version – Greatly increases the animations of your home screen cards. It makes a huge difference!

• EOM Overlord Monitoring (in Applications not Patches) – Check Preware for explanation.

Optional:

• Ad Blocker – Helps remove ads from your web browser. *WARNING*, Do not download more than 1 Ad-Blocker.

• Remove Tap Ripple – Removes the tap ripple. Actually speeds up your Touchpad a little.

• Increase Touch Sensitivity and Smoothness 10 – Makes touch more smooth, such as scrolling.

• Advanced Reset Options – Gives you more reset options like “Restart Luna”.

    HELP!!!!!

1st. Thanks for the videos. they were a great help
2nd. After installing the patches I have an ANNOYING new sound when I am in the multitasking view and I drag an card down to close it. When I drag the icon down I now hear a rubber band stretch and a childish “Weeeeee” when it flies up and off the screen. HOW DO I TURN THIS STUPID SOUND OFF!!! It seriously unsuitable for professional environment.

LMAO, there is no need to pull them down, just swipe up to close them. Pulling them down doesn’t do anything. Also I don’t know how to fix this because I don’t have this problem sorry.
