How to Downgrade From iOS 5.0 Beta

First Option:
For the first way, the only thing you’ll need is iTunes.

Steps:
1. Open up iTunes and plug in your iDevice.

2. (Optional) If you don’t have iTunes 10.5 installed. You are going to have to put your iDevice into recovery mode by following the steps below.
I. Hold down the power button for 3 seconds
II. Continue holding the power button and start holding the home button and continue HOLDING BOTH for 10 seconds
III. Let go of power and continue holding home button for 20 seconds (or until iTunes recognize that your iDevice is in recovery mode).

3. Click “Restore” then click “Restore and update”.

4. Wait for it to finish.

5. After iTunes is finish, your iDevice should now be restored on iOS 4.3.3.

Second Option:
Things You’ll Need:
iFaith get it here.
The custom IPSW of the desired iOS you want to downgrade to get it here.

Steps:
1. Right click iFaith and set compatibility to windows XP (service pack 2) if you are on Windows 7 or Windows Vista and run as administrator.

2. Connect your iDevice to the computer; after you have done this run iFaith (If it isn’t already connected).

3. Click on “OK“.

4. Then click “Build *signed* IPSW w/Blobs“.

5. Click “Browse for SHSH Blobs Cache” and locate your SHSH Blobs Cache.

6. Click “Browse for the iOS”(The custom IPSW of the desired iOS you want to downgrade to get it here) and locate it.

7. Click “Build IPSW”.

8. Wait for it to finish.

9. Click “Proceed” then “Start” and follow the on screen instructions to put you device in DFU mode. The steps are as follows:
I. Hold down the power button for 3 seconds
II. Continue holding the power button and start holding the home button and continue HOLDING BOTH for 10 seconds
III. Let go of power and continue holding home button for 20 seconds (or until iFaith recognize your iDevice).

10. Open up iTunes, click “Shift + Restore”.

11. Locate and select the IPSW that iFaith created. It should be on your desktop.

12. Wait for it to finish.

13. After iTunes is finish, your iDevice should now be downgraded to the firmware that you chose.

    Hey, tried restoring in Itunes Still comes up with error.. Do not have my SHSH or whatever, saved. Any other advice? Please help. My mate is a dev and asked me to test 5.0 out and i seriously regret it now :(

    bro, i used your video to upgrade to ios5 beta but now when i try to downgrade, with every way possible (DFU restoring, iREB restoring, Restore and update option in itunes, shift restore, I ALWAYS GET THE SAME ERROR IN THE MIDDLE OF ALMOST COMPLETING THE RESTORE. its ERROR 3194. I do have my shs blobs saved on CYDIA but not my computer, I’ve also tried using tiny umbrella but it gets stuck on “preparing to restore iphone…” My iPhone4 is useless and idk how to get it back, help man, ppleaseeee. thank you in advance!
